Who are we?
We’re a close-knit collective of experienced professional musicians who genuinely love what we do. Rather than operating as a large entertainment agency, we work directly with clients through our manager and event co-ordinator Martin, keeping the process personal, straightforward and good value from start to finish.

Does One Fun Band play at private residences as well as city venues?
Between us, we’ve played everything from intimate private parties and weddings through to corporate events, luxury resorts and outdoor stages. Whether it’s a marquee in the countryside, a city venue or a garden ceremony at home, we’re very comfortable adapting to the setting and creating the right atmosphere.

We’re only expecting 20 guests – is it worth having live music?
Some of our favourite events have actually been smaller gatherings. Live music has a way of bringing people together regardless of the crowd size, and a good performer can create a brilliant atmosphere whether it’s 20 guests or 200.

What time should the music start?
Our standard reception booking includes 3 x 45 minute live sets spread across a 5 hour booking window, usually beginning once formalities conclude. We also offer ceremony and drinks reception options if you’d like live music earlier in the day. Extra time can always be added if required.

What styles of music do One Fun Band play?
Most events begin with relaxed acoustic favourites and easy listening background music while guests settle in. As the evening progresses, the energy naturally lifts into singalongs, dance floor favourites and party tunes. You’re very welcome to request songs from our list and help shape the feel of the night.

Who plays music during the breaks?
We provide playlist music through our PA system during breaks to keep the atmosphere flowing naturally between sets. Whether you’d prefer relaxed background music or something a little more upbeat, we’re happy to tailor things to suit the room.

Can you play live music at our ceremony and/or drinks reception?
Our ceremony and drinks reception add-ons are a popular way to create a seamless full-day music experience, including guest arrival music, aisle songs, signing music, exit songs, and relaxed live music while guests enjoy drinks and canapés.

Our special song isn’t on your song list – are you able to learn a song?
Personalising your event is a big part of what we do, and we’re always happy to learn a special song where possible.

What time do the artists arrive?
We’ll usually arrive approximately one hour before the package start time to ensure everything is fully set up and ready to go before guests arrive.

Where can we see you play live? And who will our artist be?
We’re a collective of full-time professional musicians, and live entertainment is genuinely what we do. To keep pricing sensible and quality high, we don’t run public showcase events, and artist availability can vary depending on the date. What we can promise is an experienced, professional performer who’ll deliver the same quality and atmosphere you hear throughout our demos and videos.

Can we supply our own playlists for playback through the PA?
If you have playlists, cultural music, or special songs you’d love included throughout the evening, you’re very welcome to send them through and we’ll happily play them back through our sound system.

My bridesmaid/groomsman would like to sing a song – can this be arranged?
Just let us know in advance so we can organise everything properly, including song choice and key, and make sure it fits smoothly into the evening.

We’re not really sure what music we want – can we leave it to you?
Some clients enjoy being hands-on with requests, while others prefer to leave things in our hands. If that sounds like you, relax, enjoy the evening, and trust our musicians to read the room, bring people together, and keep the atmosphere building naturally across the night.
